Japanese Company Makes Randoseru for Dogs
These days, you can take your pet to hotels designed for dogs, and buy them all sorts of clothes, including rain jackets, shoes and sunglasses. Now, thanks to Japanese leather company Tsuchiya Kaban, dogs can have their own leather backpack to carry their very important things like toys and treats. Dog owners can buy their dog a randoseru, a backpack traditionally used by Japanese elementary school children. Tsuchiya Kaban is known for its high-quality leather products, all made by craftsmen in Japan. It's the first time the company has made products for pets.
The bags are ergonomically designed with an adjustable strap to make them more comfortable for dogs to wear. It's recommended for smaller dogs under 8 kilograms. A leash for the bag can also be bought separately, making it perfect for walks. If the dog gets tired of carrying it, the randoseru also comes with a longer strap so that humans can carry the backpack.
The bags sell for just under $500. Along with the randoseru, the company will also be releasing pet collars priced from about $116, and a larger bag for carrying your pet costing about $2,530.
