Most Productive Day of the Week Is Monday
A 2022 survey of about 2,000 US workers found that Mondays aren't all that bad. Monday is the most productive day of the week for a lot of people. The survey was done by OnePoll for camera company Canon. Canon makes software that allows its cameras to be used with online meeting apps. Just over half of the participants were hybrid workers. This means they do a mix of remote work and work from their company's office.
About 80% of participants agreed that online meetings feel more productive when everyone has their camera turned on. Two-thirds said they are able to interact with co-workers better when they can share documents, videos and other files while they speak.
The survey found Monday to be the most productive day of the week, especially for people who said they were introverts. Almost half of hybrid workers said they like to start the week in the office, with only 20% saying they prefer to work from home on Mondays. The survey also asked employees how hybrid work is affecting them. Nearly two-thirds said they feel hybrid work has helped improve employees' communication skills. This feeling rose to 82% among introverts.
